About Karingal Seymour

The new Karingal Seymour opened in mid 2013, comprised of 30 bed low care ‘Robinson Wing’, 15 bed high care ‘Mitchell Wing’, and 15 bed secure special care ‘Acacia Wing’.

All 60 rooms are single and spacious, with full en-suites and garden views. All rooms have ceiling fans and hydronic heating, with communal areas air-conditioned for resident comfort. Electric beds which lower to floor level, wall mounted TV provisions, a bedside cabinet (locked drawer) and spacious wardrobe (containing a locked cupboard) – there is plenty of storage room available. There are three adjoining rooms available, two in Robinson Wing and one in Mitchell Wing, for couples to share.

The main communal area includes a large lounge/sitting room ‘Light Horse Lounge’ and multi-purpose ‘Goulburn Room’, both overlooking a large paved courtyard area with BBQ pavilion and gardens. The main dining room seats 30, with a smaller private dining room ‘Rotary Room’, for special/family functions. Several smaller sitting rooms with kitchenettes are located throughout the facility, to ensure residents and visitors have cosy areas to relax and enjoy.

The Mitchell Wing and Acacia Wing have combined dining/sitting rooms with porch access onto landscaped gardens. The Acacia Wing has secure internal and external access, and features an internal courtyard and walking loop. External walking tracks have rubber surface for added safety.

The facility is surrounded by porches and landscaped gardens, with seating, arbours and areas of interest to stimulate the senses and provide all-weather options to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Independent Living Units
